Please note that all passengers and visitors at Hamburg Airport are still recommended to wear a face mask.
Hamburg Airport has implemented numerous measures to enable passengers to travel safely. This includes distance markings, disinfectant dispensers, perspex panes at counters, additional cleaning, and testing facilities right at the airport.
Hamburg Airport is doing everything possible to limit the spread of the coronavirus. We need your help to achieve this. It is vital that you comply with the recommended measures at the airport just as in any other public location:
Please note that all passengers and visitors at Hamburg Airport are still recommended to wear a mask.
Please maintain a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to other people. Markings on the floor will help you with this.
Wash your hands thoroughly and regularly, and observe the rules of etiquette for coughing and sneezing. Disinfectant dispensers are available in all washroom facilities. There are additional disinfectant dispensers in the terminals and on the Passenger Pier.
Please do not travel if you feel unwell or already have symptoms. This is for your own safety and the safety of others.
In order to verify your identity, you will need to briefly remove or lower your mask. Place any items carried in your outer clothing in the inspection box beforehand. Aviation security officers may, if necessary, conduct a manual security check by frisking you from the side or from behind. Please only bring a single item of cabin baggage for checking, and remove larger electronic devices (e.g. laptops, tablets, medical devices) and the 1-liter bag with liquids from your cabin baggage before inspection. Find out about the current rules for aviation security checks at www.bundespolizei.de.
The airlines have also implemented numerous measures to reduce the intensity of contact between cabin crew and passengers.
Should you have any questions about on-board measures, please contact the airline directly:
